From December 9th to 11th, the first "Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Cup" China Zhangjiajie·International Tourism Poetry Awards Ceremony and the second "Poetry-Reciting in China" Zhangjiajie International Tourism Poetry Reading Concert was held with the theme of "unique Zhangjiajie share the poetry with the world". Our international students Aaron Möllhoff from Germany and Viktoriia Drozdovych from Ukraine were invited to the festival.
At the concert held on December 9th, they recited the award-winning poems "Zhangjiajie, You Have No Secrets" and "Zhangjiajie, the Beauty of the Extreme" respectively. The wonderful performance of Aaron Möllhoff and Viktoriia Drozdovych were highly praised by the leaders and present poets and scholars from domestic and overseas.
Under the guidance of the Chinese Writers Association, the editorial department of the Poetry Periodical, the Hunan Poetry Society, the CPC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee, and the Zhangjiajie Municipal People's Government, the International Tourism Poetry Festival is hosted by the Zhangjiajie Literature and Arts Association, and undertook by the Zhangjiajie International Tourism Poetry Association and the Hunan Red Net New Media group. Our international students participated in this international event to perform poetry recitation, adding fresh elements of internationalization to the event. In this way, the international students enabled to feel the resonance of “Chinese poetry and travel”, and experienced China's magnificent natural customs and cultural sentiments. At the same time, it fully demonstrated the achievements of international students’ education in our college to the world, expanding the international influence and reputation of the college.
