Meeting
On January 17, the Second Session of the Fifth Meeting for the Faculty Representatives and Union Members Representatives was held in the academic lecture hall. 154 faculty representatives and union members representatives shouldered the trust of the whole college, gathering together to discuss the development plan of the college. Leaders, including Yuan Weikun, Ma Yujun, Liu Guoqing, Jiang Minquan, He Zhanbing, Cheng Guizhen, Xu Jingxue, Lei Junlin and Xie Jingwei attended the meeting. Representatives of various democratic parties and retired veteran comrades attended the meeting.

The meeting was presided over by the Party Committee Member and Vice President He Zhanbing. Jiang Minquan, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, delivered an opening speech. The representatives attended the meeting The Report on the Administrative Work in 2018 by the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President Ma Yujun, the Report on the Work of Union by Liu Guoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and the Report on the Financial Work by Xu Jingxue, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, Report on the Work of Proposals by Qian Ying, Director of the Labor Union Proposal, and the Review Report on the Union Expenditure by Yang Huangjiang, Director of Review Committee of the Union Funds. The meeting also reviewed the college's "2018 college teachers series of professional technical title evaluation and colleges recommendation work program", "Cadre Selection and Appointment System", "Labor Discipline Management System for the Faculty ", "Teachers and Staff’s Annual Assessment System" and documents review.
Ma Yujun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President made Report on the Administrative Work in 2018
Ma Yujun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the college, gave the Report on the Administrative Work in 2018 entitled Stand at a New Starting Point for Re-innovation and Glory to Comprehensively Begin a New Journey for Building the First-class Vocational College. On the report, President Ma made an overall review and summary of the achievements that the college made previous year in morality education, cultivation and teaching, quality of education, scientific research, talent team, system construction, international exchange, cultural construction, and campus construction. He objectively analyzed the issues and environment faced by the college in the internal and external dimensions, and put forward the key points of the administrative work of the college in 2019. He pointed out that 2019 is the first year of implementing the spirit of the national and provincial education conferences, a key year for the implementation of the 13th five year plan of the college, and the year of building the college into a first-class vocational college in Hunan Province. Emphasis should be put on the following tasks: the first, a center consolidate, and adhere to the status of education and teaching center; the second, focus on two goals-- to be selected as a top-ranking higher vocational college in Hunan Province, and to become a high-level national vocational college with characteristics; the third is to implement the three persistences: adhere to the system construction, adhere to the quality first, adhere to the integration of production and education; the fourth, promote eight major tasks: lead the thoughts, opening a new journey of morality education; intensify the connotation, creating a new situation for professional construction; internal cultivation and external guidance, bringing together new strengths of the teaching staff; integrating advantages, striving for new breakthroughs in scientific research; key breakthroughs, forming new advantages in international exchanges; efforts to comprehensively create a new beautiful landscape for campus; overall consideration, creating a new comprehensive security system; improve people's livelihood, playing a new movement for teachers and students. Ma Yujun emphasized that the current development and construction of the college is in a critical period of continuous climbing. All faculty must devote themselves to working hard, focusing on precision, obeying the laws and sciences, and successfully complete the annual work. The objective is to strive to achieve the goal of building a first-class vocational college as soon as possible, and to present a better performance for the college on it’s the 20th anniversary.
Liu Guoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union, made A Report on the Work of the Union in 2018
On behalf of the 5th Union Committee, Liu Guoqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the Chairman of the Labor Union, gave A Report on the Work of the Union entitled Concern for Faculty, Building Family with Love, and Endeavour to Create a New Situation in the Union Work of the College. Liu Guoqing comprehensively summed up the five goals of the Fifth Union Committee of the College in the past year, focusing on the five goals of building Homes of development, democracy, happiness, harmony, and joy. He also put forward the main ideas of the college union work in 2019.
Panel Discussion
At the panel discussion, the representatives actively reviewed and discussed the above reports and documents, offered suggestions, and provided valuable opinions and suggestions on all aspects of the work of the college. The college leaders participated in the discussions of each delegation. After careful deliberation by the representative, the above report and motion was approved.

At the meeting, the work of the 5th Union Committee and the leadership of the unions underwent the democratic evaluation. The Party Committee Member and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Cheng Guizhen read the assessment results. At the closing ceremony, Yuan Weikun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, delivered a speech, on behalf of the party committee of the college, expressed warm congratulations to the success of the conference and sincere gratitude to the dedication and hard work of all the faculties. He also paid high respects and sincere greetings to the teachers who worked hard in the front line of teaching, scientific research, management, and service, and the retired veteran comrades who cared about the college development. Yuan Weikun pointed out that 2019 is the first year of implementing the spirit of the national and provincial education conferences, a key year for the implementation of the 13th Five-Year Plan of the college, and the year of building the college into a first-class vocational college in Hunan Province. He put forward four opinions on the construction and development of the college. The first was to strengthen the four consciousnesses, practice two maintenance, and constantly consolidating the party’s construction in the new era college. The second is to basic task of morality education. The third is to be a responsible doer of deeds, writing a new chapter in the reform and development of the college with practice. The fourth is to regard the college as home, treat students as our own children, and striving to be the master of the college. Yuan Weikun indicated that "no matter how high the mountain is, if you climb it, you will always reach the top. The road is long, if you keep going, you will arrive at the destination." In the new year, the faculty of the college should be equipped with the feelings of the dream catcher, the posture of the runners, the passion of the strugglers, the sense of time urgency, the sense of crisis, the sense of responsibility, and the sense of mission, to gain a sense of achievement, honor and happiness in the sound development of the college. The meeting successfully concluded after the completion of the entire agenda.
